I'm having a hard time using Blogger right now, because this browser is displaying all text in arabic! It took me like 15 minutes just to fish around for the log in button and the post new blog button...
Oh well. Happy Holidays to all my loved-ones. If you are reading this you are a loved-ones! I'm so tired it's just silly. So, what's the big news? Hmmm. Well, the cat's out of the bag as to what I've been up to. I've been assisting the Army in the "responsible" drawdown of troops and gear from Iraq. The president wants all Iraq warfighters home by Christmas. That's only a few weeks away! The post I'm living on and the mission I've been involved in has been all over the news. Geraldo Rivera and Ted Koppel have been here, among other media types, but I haven't always been on duty when folks have rolled through. They never wanna talk to the computer troll in his little computer cave...
I can live with that.
In other news, I have finally managed to build a website on Amazon Web Services EC2 virtual server platform.

I miss home. I feel like I'm in hell or maybe purgatory.
One day I'll get out, but it seems like that will be an eternity from now.
This placing is effing ugly. It's like being stationed on the moon.
Oh well. This is how the other half lives, I suppose and I think it will be good for me to have been exposed more to that.

Oh, Thanksgiving kinda sucked. Thanks to all who asked about it though.
It was lonely and we had a lot of work to do too.
The DFAC did put on a holiday meal, which was all right, though kind of soup-kitcheny and it just wasn't the same without family.
Ho-hum.
I'm super tired and need to not be blogging.
